• Special Meeting of the Planning Commission

  This Special meeting of the Planning Commission (P.C.)was called to discuss who will supply the professional assistance to the P.C. and the possible methodology employed to redo the Township's Zoning Manual.

May 12, Monday

• Monthly Board of Trustees Meeting (Doelle Sr. Center)

  A regularly scheduled Board of Trustees Meeting will be held at the Doelle Senior Citizens Center located in Pelkie at 7:00 PM.

May 15, Thursday

• Special Board of Trustees Meeting

  To review a modified Passport Grant Resolution to be submitted to the DNR for the Dodgeville Ice Rink Renovation. Meeting will occur at 9:00 AM at the Township office.

May 16, Friday

• Board of Appeals Hearing

  The Portage Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 12:00 noon at the Township Office, 47240 Green Acres Road, Houghton, MI to hear a request for a variance for a dwelling with less than 1,200 Sq. Ft. on a property at the end of Torro Road, Tapiola, MI. Information is available for review at the Township Office during normal business hours. Written comments will be accepted until 11 AM on May 16, 2014.
